IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most popular IPTV players, but installing it is not as simple as it used to be. The classic app is no longer in the Google Play Store or the Amazon Appstore, and a newer version now goes by a different name. This guide explains which version to install on each device, shows the Firestick steps one by one, and tells you what to check so you end up with a safe, working app.
The short version
- There are two versions: the classic IPTV Smarters Pro (an APK you install yourself) and the newer Smarters Pro (in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store).
- Firestick and Fire TV: install the classic version with the free Downloader app.
- Android TV, phones, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV: install Smarters Pro from your app store.
- Both are free players with no channels. You add your own subscription, such as Area 51 IPTV.

What Is IPTV Smarters Pro?
IPTV Smarters Pro is a free player for live TV, movies and series. It does not include any channels. You sign in with the details from your IPTV provider, either an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link, and the app turns them into a TV-style menu.
According to TROYPOINT’s October 2026 guide, the classic app offers:
- Live TV, movies and series in separate sections
- A TV guide (EPG)
- Multiple playlists and user profiles
- Multi-screen view for up to four channels at once
- Parental controls with a PIN
- Support for external players such as VLC and MX Player
Which Version Should You Install?
The classic app was removed from Google Play in 2019, as TorrentFreak reported at the time. Today, the store version is a newer app called Smarters Pro, published by Tech Smarters Private Limited, with its own website at smarterspro.com.

APKMirror lists the classic app’s latest release, version 3.1.5.1, as uploaded in September 2022. It still works, but it is no longer actively updated. If your device has an app store that offers Smarters Pro, choose that version.
Before You Install
- Skip look-alike apps. Many apps use “Smarters” in their name. In the app stores, check that the developer is Tech Smarters Private Limited.
- Never pay for the player. Smarters is free. Any app or website that sells an “IPTV Smarters subscription” is not the official app.
- Have your login ready. You need an active Area 51 IPTV plan or a free 24-hour trial. Your details arrive by email.
- Only add services you have the right to use. The player is legal. What you watch with it depends on your subscription.
How to Install IPTV Smarters Pro on Firestick and Fire TV
IPTV Smarters Pro is not in the Amazon Appstore, so you install it with the free Downloader app. These steps work on the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV smart TVs.
Step 1: Install Downloader
- On the Fire TV home screen, go to Find and select Search.
- Type Downloader and select the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews.
- Select Get or Download.
Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps
- Go to Settings, then My Fire TV.
- If you do not see Developer options, open About, highlight your device name and press the select button 7 times until you see “You are now a developer.” Then press Back.
- Open Developer options, then Install unknown apps.
- Find Downloader and switch it ON.

Step 3: Download and install IPTV Smarters Pro
- Open Downloader and allow access to files if it asks.
- Select the address box on the Home tab.
- Type the code 250931 and select Go. This code opens the TROYPOINT Toolbox, a free app library that TROYPOINT uses in its guide.
- Scroll to IPTV Smarters Pro and select Download.
- When the download finishes, select Install.
- Select Done. Downloader may offer to delete the installation file. Select Delete twice to free up storage.
You will find IPTV Smarters Pro under Your Apps & Channels. Press the Options button (three lines) on your remote and choose Move to place it on your home screen.
How to Install on Android TV and Google TV
On Android TV and Google TV devices, such as Chromecast with Google TV, NVIDIA Shield, Onn boxes and Android smart TVs, install the store version:
- Open the Google Play Store on your TV.
- Search for Smarters Pro.
- Choose the app from Tech Smarters Private Limited. You can also open the Smarters Pro TV page on Google Play in a web browser and install it on your TV from there.
- Select Install, then Open.
Prefer the classic version? Downloader is also available in the Google Play Store on Android TV, and the Firestick steps above work the same way. On Android TV, the unknown apps setting is usually under Settings, Apps, Security & restrictions.
How to Install on Android Phones, iPhone and iPad
Android phones and tablets
- Open the Smarters Pro – Mobile page on Google Play.
- Check that the developer is Tech Smarters Private Limited.
- Tap Install, then Open.
iPhone and iPad
- Open the Smarters Pro page on the App Store, or search for Smarters Pro.
- Check that the seller is Tech Smarters Private Limited.
- Tap Get and open the app.
App Store availability can change by country. If the app is not available where you live, do not install a look-alike. Ask our team to suggest another player.
How to Install on Apple TV, Windows and Mac
- Apple TV: the same Smarters Pro listing on the App Store supports Apple TV. Open the App Store on your Apple TV and search for Smarters Pro.
- Windows and Mac: the developer offers desktop versions in the downloads section of smarterspro.com. They are labelled as beta, so expect fewer features than on a TV.

After You Install: Add Your Subscription
The first time you open the app, it asks how you want to sign in. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API for the easiest setup, then enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email. You can also load an M3U link instead.
